Devon’s Opinion

I have to say that I was immediately confused by this collaboration. I could not recall a celebrity collab in OREO’s history and this one felt extremely random (yet delicious)!

Packaging

This was such a departure from their normal packaging that it was almost not even recognizable as an OREO product! The guitar pick feels out of place as the primary design element as I’ve never seen Post Malone perform with a guitar? I also think that wallpapering the package with it makes it harder to read his name or see his signature. However, I do think it’s fun that the wafers have different designs and make more sense for Posty as an artist!

Flavor

Wow! That’s all I have to say about this flavor (which is Salted Caramel and Shortbread by the way). I hope they introduce more swirled crème cookies in the future because it was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed that they used one golden wafer and one chocolate – it really balanced the filling’s sweetness. I dare say this is my favorite OREO flavor to date!

Allison’s Opinion

I tried my Posty’s OREOS and sadly, they are not my favorite. I realized that I do not like the golden wafer cookie, so that kind of ruined it for me. When I ate just the chocolate side with the filling, I liked it a lot better. But the shortbread crème part of the swirl wasn’t my favorite either. The salted caramel part of the swirl was a lot more to my liking. So maybe a chocolate cookie with salted caramel crème would be the one for me!

As for the packaging, the guitar pick background is busy and makes the signature hard to read. Post Malone’s handwriting on the back is not easy to read either (I think it might have been better if it wasn’t reversed).

Since the whole package is so much of a departure from their regular branding, I wish they had done something else with the OREO logo – not just have a big blue blob on there. At first glance, I found his floating head on the back of pack a little disturbing, though I did get used to it the more I looked at it, and I understand the need to have his image on there as an enticement to his fans to buy the product.

As much as I like Post Malone, I am not eating the rest of these. Too bad I don’t live closer to Devon!
