A Letter from Brec:

This year marks an incredible milestone for BrandFirst — 40 years of creativity, collaboration, and commitment to storytelling, strategy, and design. As I sit down to write this, I’m filled with both pride and humility. Few family businesses last this long, let alone in an industry as fast-paced and ever-changing as ours. Yet here we are—four decades in—and still driven by the same passion that started it all.

Our journey began in 1985, when my mom opened the doors with nothing but a bold vision, a stationary camera, and an unshakable belief in the power of creativity to move people. What began as a small studio quickly grew into a full-service agency, with each year bringing new challenges, new technologies, and new opportunities to reimagine what’s possible.

But through it all, one thing has remained constant: family. I’ve grown up in this business. It has shaped me—not just professionally, but personally.  I’ve watched it evolve from the inside. I’ve had the privilege (and sometimes the challenge!) of blending family and work in a way that’s uniquely intense and incredibly rewarding. It’s taught me resilience, humility, and the value of people who truly care about what they do.

This business isn’t just something we do. It’s who we are. When I was young, it was dinner-table conversations turned brainstorm sessions. Today, it’s Teams meetings spent catching up with employees and reviewing designs. Always, it’s been watching generations bring their own voice, talent, and perspective into the mix. And it’s building a team that, whether or not they share my last name, truly feels like family too.

A Letter from Dianna:

When I first joined BrandFirst over 18 years ago, I was a proofreader and copywriter — just eager to learn, contribute, and be part of something creative. I never could have imagined that all these years later, I’d be writing this as New Business Director and Partner.

From the start, I knew there was something special about BrandFirst. Diane created more than an agency — she built a team that genuinely cared about the work and about each other. That sense of purpose and collaboration pulled me in and kept me here. Over the years, I’ve grown right alongside the company, learning from every project, every client, and every person who has been part of our story.

Now, with Brec leading the way, that same energy and passion are still at the heart of what we do. It’s inspiring to see how BrandFirst continues to evolve while staying true to its roots — creative, thoughtful, and driven by relationships.

I’m excited for this next chapter of BrandFirst — one that honors our foundation while embracing new ideas and opportunities as we continue to grow and evolve. Working alongside Brec and our incredible team, I look forward to building on what’s made BrandFirst special from the very beginning — and to help shape where we go next.

To our clients – We’ve been fortunate to work with a variety of people, those who have become friends, who trust us deeply, challenge us creatively, and stick with us long enough to become part of our story. To you: thank you. Your loyalty and collaboration have been the heartbeat of our success.

And to our team—past and present—you are the soul of this agency. Your ideas, your dedication, your belief in the work—we see it, we feel it, and we’re endlessly grateful.

Looking ahead, we know the creative world won’t slow down. AI, shifting platforms, new consumer behaviors—these things will reshape how we work, but not why we work. Because at our core, we’re still here to solve problems beautifully, tell stories that matter, and help brands connect in ways that are authentic, lasting, and human.

So here’s to 40 years behind us—and to the next chapter ahead. May it be just as bold, just as challenging, and just as full of heart.
