Gourmet Mozzarella Sticks Get Ready for Retail
As an established name in the festival and food truck world, it was time for Big Mozz® to take their giant-sized sticks to retail. It was the brand’s first CPG product that was going to be sold in-store and direct-to-consumer online, so the packaging needed to stand out.
We highlighted the sticks, the iconic cheese pull, and the premium ingredients using photography to maximize appetite appeal while the messaging and callouts on pack communicated the gourmet nature of the product.
We adapted the vertically oriented retail box design to the horizontal layout required by the DTC packaging structure and modified the graphics for the new product type – Nuggets. This included an updated logo with color changes and different communication points.
After the packaging was complete, we extended the branding to sell sheets, a food truck vehicle wrap, and a tradeshow booth. With a unique audience for each extension, we adapted messaging and created new assets where necessary. For example, the food truck needed to stand out in a festival setting, so we created fun and energetic illustrations to go along with the product imagery.
